Bob is a veteran commercial beekeeper with over 40 years of experience. He and his wife run Blue Ridge Honey Company in Lakemont, Georgia, managing around 2,000 colonies and operating a large honey packing facility. Bob began his career in 1981 and has worked across ten U.S. states in migratory beekeeping, supporting pollination for crops like almonds and citrus.

He is widely recognized as an educator and advocate for sustainable beekeeping, serving as president of multiple beekeeper associations and earning Georgia’s Beekeeper of the Year award in 2003. Bob shares practical knowledge through speaking engagements focusing on hive health, honey production, and breeding mite-resistant bees. In addition Bob runs a successful and informative YouTube channel with a following of over 70k subscribers.
