Sadly my only colony has died (due to dampness) so I am looking for some new bees; I realise it is rather early in the season but would just like to be kept in mind if anyone has any!

Hi Anita, that's tough luck. There is a queue building up for bees this year, keep an eye out here and post again nearer June. Remember and disinfect the hive in case it was something more sinister than dampness.

Thanks. What is the best way to disinfect? I am pretty certain it was moisture/dampness though as the things I had put in to fill the gap at the top above the sugar bags (newspaper/towel and cardboard) were very damp. I had also put bubble wrap around the hive and that was holding moisture.
I have cleaned out the frames that were nouldy and have 4 frames full of honey. I presume it is safe to leave them in for the next lot to get a start?
If I put the haive back where it was and it has honey in it might it attract a swarm?
