Hello All

About to invest in some protective clothing and am just wondering what the pro's and cons are between a jacket or a full overall.
Does a combination of jeans and jacket give enough protection or is an overall a better option.
What are your experiences, recommendations?

Hi, I would recommend a Beekeepers Suit as I find that would give better protection as the bees can often get under gaps in the jacket, between your jeans. when you are bending or stretching  It will also give you a better veil.
Others may think diferently but I feel more relaxed with good protection :D
Enjoy your beekeeping :P

Yes, a full suit and wellies - of some sort.
You could copy my style and get a baker's white overall (from a shop that does baker's, scientific, etc overalls), do a bit of stitching to add velcro and you have a full overall for less than £25. Get a separate hat/veil. That way you get two lots of gear for less than the price of one sophisticated one and you can lend the second one to an assistant that you bend the arm of to help you do the heavy work!
